About this ride
Tesla’s Lars Moravy called the car’s jump over a row of Teslas “the kickflip”, and a kickflip belongs on a skateboard. Upload one photo of your dog or cat and it rides a plain skateboard up the inverted ramp, flips in the dark and lands in the smoke. The animal keeps its breed, colour and markings from the photo.
Tips for the pet kickflip
- A photo at the animal’s eye level, whole body visible, gives the best likeness.
- Distinct markings and collars carry over well; plain fur in dim light can drift.
- One animal per photo: two pets on one board tends to merge them.
What is already set for you
- The subject: the animal from Image 1 standing on a plain black skateboard, paws planted, riding it up the ramp on its own, with a small white cold-gas thrust jet under the board that fires only during the descent..
- The scene: a closed night test track in open flat country.
